Bio/CV: 

Jeremy Urban is the Undergraduate Major Advisor and the Admissions Specialist at UC Berkeley Social Welfare. He is dedicated to assisting current and prospective students navigate the higher education system and achieve their educational goals.

Prior to working at UC Berkeley, Jeremy was the Academic Advisor for the University of Florida School of Music, where he advised all undergraduate music majors and minors as well as assisted with recruitment to the undergraduate program.

Originally from New Mexico, Jeremy holds his BM in Music Performance from Eastern New Mexico University and his MM in Music Performance from the University of Florida.

Jeremy enjoys playing his saxophone (when her can), playing tennis, and trying new restaurants around the Bay Area.

Spring 2024 Advising hours:

Monday (virtual drop-in) 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:30-3:30pm, and Thursday (in-person drop in) 1:00-3:00pm (Haviland Hall 101). Please email swundergrad@berkeley.edu to create an advising appointment.

Responsibilities:

Undergraduate Major Advising

I am available to assist students with a wide variety of questions and issues that come up in relation to the major. These include but are not limited to: declaring the major; assessing progress in the major; administrative concerns; graduation; information on courses; options for independent study; and referral to other campus offices.
