Programs and Strategic Initiatives (N5820)
Berkeley Social Welfare supports a wide variety of programs and strategic initiatives that can be enhanced through your support. Gifts to this area allow the Dean of the School to flexibly dedicate resources to the most timely, greatest needs across the School, including partnerships, student and faculty initiatives, events and other programs.
Student Scholarships/Fellowships (N5824)
Our goal for the coming years is that no graduate student leaves Berkeley Social Welfare with more debt than their first year’s salary. The average MSW student graduates with $40,000 in debt but 24 percent of our students graduate with more than $53,000 in debt, which consequently is the average salary for graduating students. Those graduating with debt more than their first year’s salary collectively owe approximately $1.5 million above this level, and it is our intention to raise fellowship funds to fill this gap.
Planned gifts offer creative and flexible strategies for you to pursue your financial and charitable estate planning goals while supporting Berkeley Social Welfare. Click here for more information.
