SHIFT Research Group is celebrating a new publication in Evidence & Policy, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to comprehensive and critical assessment of the relationship between researchers and the evidence they produce and the concerns of policy makers and practitioners. The article is entitled “I would add”: Educational Leaders’ Understanding of SEL During a Statewide Community of Practice." PhD Candidates Nehal Eldeeb, Alejandro Nuñez, and Juyeon Lee as well as Associate Professor Valerie Shapiro are among the authors of the study.
The study explores how SELs, or social emotional learning programs, are conceptualized by educational leaders and the ways in which future implementations could better center systemic and equity-based lenses.
