Mayra Alvarez (BASW '03) has been appointed to the Biden-Harris COVID Health Equity Task Force. Currently the president of The Children's Partnership, Alvarez served in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Obama-Biden administration and has also served as a legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
