"Advancing community science to improve the economic mobility of Black boys and young men by 2040.": Seabury Lecture with Dr. Sean Joe

This year's Seabury Lecture was delivered by Dr. Sean Joe on October 1, 2021 on the topic of "Advancing community science to improve the economic mobility of Black boys and young men by 2040."

Sean Joe, Ph.D., M.S.W. joined the Brown School at Washington University at St. Louis in the fall of 2014 as the Benjamin E. Youngdahl Professor of Social Development. Joe is a nationally recognized authority on suicidal behavior among African Americans. His research focuses on Black adolescents' mental health service use patterns, the role of religion in Black suicidal behavior, salivary biomarkers for suicidal behavior, and development of father-focused, family-based interventions to prevent urban African American adolescent males from engaging in multiple forms of self-destructive behaviors.
