Sylvia Gin (she/they) is the Recruitment and Career Services Specialist. In this role, Sylvia will focuses on implementing recruitment strategies, representing the school at events, and developing career programming to support students as they navigate their path to employment.
An alum of UC Berkeley, class of 2024, Sylvia holds both a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) and a Master of Public Health (MPH). She is a first-generation college graduate, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education from San Francisco State University in 2018. Sylvia has lived in the Bay Area for the past decade, though she was born in Santa Clara and raised in Sacramento. She is multiracial, queer, and the eldest of four siblings. Passionate about creating inclusive spaces for all students, Sylvia focuses on equitable access to resources and fostering belonging through community building.
In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Sylvia is a certified yoga instructor with a passion for holistic health and mindfulness. She aims to integrate these values into both her role and daily life, continuing to work toward her goal of supporting transformation towards a healthier, more just world.
