The American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare (AASWSW) has named Julian Chun-Chung Chow, PhD, Hutto-Patterson Chair and Professor at the UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare, to its incoming Class of 2026 Fellows. Election to the Academy recognizes leaders who have made distinguished scholarly, practice, or policy contributions that advance social good and the mission of the profession.
Dr. Chow will be formally inducted during the 2026 Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) Conference in January. He joins eight other scholars from institutions across the country who were selected for this year’s cohort, reflecting their national impact in research, leadership, and service to the field.
