Social Welfare Summer Fellowships for Graduate Students
Berkeley Social Welfare is delighted to announce the continuation of our Summer Graduate Fellowship Program for 2020!
The application for Social Welfare Summer 2020 Graduate Fellowships is now open. The application deadline is Friday, March 20 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
Summer awards will be announced in mid-April. Awards will be paid as a one-time cash stipend payment disbursed in late May via Cal Central student accounts.
Masters Student Summer Fellowships
The Masters Student Summer Fellowship award amount is $2,500. All MSW students (including concurrent degree students) who meet eligibility and enrollment requirements may apply.
Enrollment in Berkeley Summer Sessions units is required.
Must be a continuing student in the 2020-21 academic year (students graduating in May 2020 are not eligible).
Preference may be given to students not receiving any additional forms of summer support (such as academic student appointments, stipend program awards, or other fellowships).
Doctoral Student Summer Fellowships
The Doctoral Student Summer Fellowship award amount is $3,500. All PhD students (including Combined MSW/PhD students) may apply.
Enrollment in summer units is not required, but you must be planning to remain in the Bay Area for summer and working on your qualifying paper, preparing for qualifying examination, or dissertation.
Preference may be given to students not receiving any additional forms of summer support, (such as academic student appointments or other fellowships).
