Student Meeting / Zoom Room Reservations

Student Meeting / Zoom Room Reservations Pilot Program

We understand the challenges of a hybrid school and work environment, and aim to support Social Welfare undergraduate and MSW students by providing space for school, field placement, or other work-related Zoom/video calls that are scheduled immediately before or after an in-person class in Haviland Hall.

Due to extremely limited space, this program is only for use for virtual meetings that require active verbal participation and should not be used for watching or listening to meetings that do not require verbal participation. Haviland Commons (116) and the Social Research Library (227) are open during business hours for those needing study space.

To reserve a private space in Haviland Hall, MSW and SSW undergraduate students should complete the Haviland Hall Meeting / Zoom Room Reservation Request Form. Please note:

  • The form must be submitted at least 2 business days in advance of the date of the request. The further in advance we receive requests, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate them.

  • Reservations can be made for a maximum of 2 hours.

  • Reservations can begin between 8am-5pm, and can end no later than 7pm.

After submitting the form, you will receive a response from swdesk@berkeley.edu. Please contact swdesk@berkeley.edu with any questions about your request or reservation.

Please note that this pilot program will be evaluated at the end of the semester and is contingent on space availability.
