Kimberly Mayer, BASW'90

Bio/CV: 

Kimberly Mayer is responsible for providing leadership and vision for CalSWEC’s programs and operations representing a portfolio of $60 million in grants and contracts. As CalSWEC enters its 28th year, she will be leading the development and implementation of initiatives that build on the organization’s long-standing legacy of professionalizing the state’s social work workforce. 

Ms. Mayer has led several workforce development projects promoting collaboration between public mental health, education, and providers, including peers. For the past 25 years, she has worked in a variety of human services leadership positions, including county government, a private consulting firm, and nonprofit management settings. She served as Director of Workforce Development at the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS), leading projects with the California Department of Health Care Services, the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), and counties. 

Ms. Mayer earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and graduate degree from Columbia University School of Social Work.

In her spare time, she enjoys attending the theatre, traveling and exploring the San Francisco Bay waterfront with her rescue dog Nikki.
