Dr. Venetta Campbell, BASW'78, MSW'80 - DAAB Co-Chair

Bio/CV: 

Dr. Venetta Campbell is an interdisciplinary educator, executive and leader. She holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and double degrees from U.C. Berkeley (BS, MSW). Her academic and professional experiences in social work and psychology provide a rich foundation for management, system analysis, program development, and policy formulation practice.

Dr. Campbell was the former Associate Director, Department of Social Work, University of California San Francisco Medical Center. In that executive capacity, she oversaw administrative, clinical, and program management service delivery.

Dr. Campbell is currently full-time faculty at the California State University Long Beach School of Social Work (CSULB). She is a devoted and enthusiastic advocate for higher education as a gateway to professional and personal achievement. She is committed to undergraduate and graduate students’ preparation as culturally competent change agents and transformative leaders within the profession. She enjoys mentoring and coaching students to achieve academic and career success.

Dr. Campbell is the CEO & Founder of Vetony Enterprises, a Corporate Wellness Consultancy (www.vetony-enterprises.com). She has a track record of accomplishments in corporate wellness services within higher education, business, and  nonprofit organizations. She provides consultation regarding workplace stress management strategies, workforce development, and transition management. She strives to create a positive and purposeful environment for wellness.

Dr. Campbell believes in giving back to the community and provides key leadership to nonprofit organizations throughout California. She currently serves as a Commissioner on the State Bar Legal Services Trust Fund Commission, and the State Bar Client Security Fund Commission. She also supports U.C Berkeley via service on the School of Social Welfare Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board. Thru these leadership roles, Dr. Campbell applies critical thinking in the quest for equitable and ethical services to vulnerable and underrepresented client populations.
