Berkeley Social Welfare Kleiner Professor of Aging Andy Scharlach has been named the recipient of the 2014 Maxwell A. Pollack Award for Productive Aging. The special honor is bestowed annually by the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), an interdisciplinary organization that promotes and supports research, education and practice in the field of aging.
The annual honor recognizes research that directly improves policy and practice in the field of aging as well as distinction in bridging the worlds of research and practice. Dr. Scharlach will be presented the award at GSA’s 67th Annual Scientific Meeting, which takes place November 5 – 9 in Washington, DC.
