GADE Honors Berkeley Social Welfare Student and Alumna at the 2012 CSWE APM

Colleen Henry and Megan Moore receive Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education awards

School of Social Welfare doctoral student Colleen Henry (MSW ’05) and alumna Megan Moore (MSW '06, PhD '12) are this year's recipients of the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education’s (GADE) Student Award for Leadership and Service, which recognizes contributions to excellence in doctoral education.

Henry and Moore were honored at GADE’s Student Leadership Award Breakfast at the 2012 CSWE APM and were each presented a certificate and $1,000 award.

Henry completed her MSW in 2005 in the Children and Families concentration. Her research activities include the Excellence in Foster Care Project and the California Child Welfare Performance Indicators Project, housed in the Center for Social Services Research. She has taught several courses at UC Berkeley, including Social Welfare 114: Practice in Social Work.

Moore earned her MSW from the School in 2006 in the Community Mental Health concentration and her doctoral degree last year. She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Social Work.
