PhD candidate Leyi (Joy) Zhou has been awarded the Soroptimist International of the Americas Founder Region Fellowship Award, which recognizes outstanding women in the final phase of their doctoral programs. The Founder Region is part of Soroptimist International, a global volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through education and economic empowerment, with a network spanning more than 100 countries
Zhou’s research focuses on aging, technology, and equity with particular emphasis on how digital tools and community-based approaches can improve access to services for older adults and support more inclusive, age-friendly communities.
