Maxine Meldrum Fellowship

The Maxine W. Meldrum Fellowship was established in 2002 in honor of longtime medical social worker Maxine W. Meldrum. Maxine received her BA is social welfare in 1947, and her MSW in 1949. She had a long and successful career in medical social work, which culminated in her appointment as Chief of Social Work Services for the VA hospital in San Francisco.

The Meldrum Fellowship supports MSW students who plan careers in the area of health and medical social work with older persons.
