CLAUDIA WATERS has been teaching statistics and statistical computing with STATA, SAS and SPSS at the School of Social Welfare since 1992 and advises MSW and PhD students on statistics and research. She also served as the computing manager for the School before retiring from the position in June 2013.
Waters' areas of specialization include epidemiology, biostatistics and aging. She has taught Statistical Computing for Social Workers (SW 286), Statistics for Social Workers (SW 285A, SW 285B) and Teaching Stata, SAS and SPSS to Social Workers (SW298).
Waters earned a BA in English and Slavic languages and literatures, an MA in Slavic languages and literatures and an MPH in biostatistics and epidemiology -- all at UC Berkeley.
