Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Educational Stipend Program
Second-year MSW students enrolled in the Community Mental Health concentration may apply for the Mental Health Educational Stipend Program, supported by Mental Health Services Act (aka Proposition 63) Workforce Education and Training funds.
Participants selected for this workforce training program receive a stipend of $18,500 for the second year of the MSW program, in exchange for a commitment to a minimum of one year of post-graduation employment in an eligible California mental health agency.
Applications are distributed in early spring each year, for stipend awards given for the following academic year.
NOTE: The 2017-18 academic year is the final year of this stipend program.
