Bio/CV: 

Christine Scudder (MSW, LCSW, PPSC) brings over 20 years of social work experience to her role as Executive Director of Academic Programs at the School of Social Welfare. Her background includes micro, mezzo and macro levels of practice in areas including mobile crisis response, hospital discharge planning, Assertive Community Treatment, intimate partner violence prevention and intervention services, child welfare, K-12 public schools, legislative advocacy, and psychotherapy with children, youth, and adults.

Prior to coming to Berkeley, Christine was an adjunct faculty with San Francisco State University School of Social Work for five years where she served a variety of roles, including Field Director, Integrated Behavioral Health Project Coordinator, and Title IV-E Field Instruction Coordinator. She has experience teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in field education, clinical disorders, social work and the law, public policy, education policy, child welfare, and human behavior.

Christine maintains a private practice with an emphasis on clinical supervision and consultation/training for community partners, including the Judicial Council of California and a variety of mental health and social service agencies.
