Berkeley Social Welfare MSW Program Ranked #3 in Nation

In US News and World Report's latest rankings of the country's best universities in academic quality, Berkeley Social Welfare has placed in the top three for social work graduate programs

Published on March 12, 2019, the rankings are based on peer-assesment surveys conducted among the deans, administrators and faculty of the 251 master of social work programs accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The names of the respondents were provided to US News by the National Association of Deans and Directors of Schools of Social Work. 

Berkeley Social Welfare is tied for third with the University of Chicago, Columbia, and the UNC-Chapel Hill. The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Washington University in St. Louis are ranked first and second, respectively.
