Title IV-E Students Continue Share-A-Bear Tradition

Berkeley Social Welfare Title IV-E students’ continued their efforts to raise money and collect donated stuffed animals as part of the School’s annual Share-A-Bear program. The yearly tradition, which was established by former Title IV-E Coordinator Shaaron Gilson, benefits children being served by a Bay Area county.

The students – under the guidance of Field Consultant and Title IV-E Project Coordinator Cathy Ralph – recently delivered more than 150 toy bears and other cuddly creatures as well as playroom toys to the Santa Clara County Assessment and Intake Center.  All in all, the students’ work resulted in an in-kind donation worth more than $500.
