Berkeley Social Welfare Professor Julian Chow has been named a 2016 Fellow by the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR). The prestigious honor is bestowed to SSWR members "who have served with distinction to advance the mission of the Society -- to advance, disseminate, and translate research that addresses issues of social work practice and policy and promotes a diverse, equitable and just society."
Dr. Chow is the second faculty member of the School of Social Welfare to receive the fellowship. He joins Associate Professor Susan Stone, who was inducted in 2014 as part of the first cohort of SSWR Fellows.
Dr. Chow will be recognized on January 16 at the SSWR Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
