Field
Work Calendars
There is both
a First Year and Second Year Calendar of dates pertinent to Field
Work. The First Year Calendar can be accessed by clicking on "First
Year" and the Second Year Calendar can be accessed by clicking
on "Second Year".
Please note
that two extended break periods are scheduled in the field calendars:
Winter Break (between Fall and Spring semesters) and Spring
Break in the middle of the Spring semester. In order to provide
time for rest and reflection, students are NOT EXPECTED TO
BE PRESENT in their placements during break periods. HOWEVER,
students ARE expected to provide for continuity of client or agency
services during break periods.
If a student
must be absent from placement due to illness or some other compelling
reason, the student should call the agency to make sure that his/her
duties are covered during the absence period. Because field placement
days are limited, students are expected to make up absences beyond
two days.
Also, in the
Fall semester students must notify their assigned agency if s/he
has a final examination scheduled on field days during the last
two weeks of placement. We request that agencies allow students
flexible hours during this time to accommodate their final examination
schedules.
