Karen Tabb Dina is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Tabb's research focuses on the social determinants of health and mental health for pregnany and postparten women, especially among racial and ethnic minorities.
Dr. Tabb and her scientific team are conducting a pilot study in an ethnically diverse public health clinic to screen perinatal women for psychosocial risk factors during pregnancy. She is also part of a team of investigators working to identify the multiple social determinants of adverse pregnancy outcomes and health disparities over the life course.
