Cindy Sousa, PhD, MSW, MPH is an Assistant Professor at the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Dr. Sousa's research centers on the health effects of violence, particularly political violence and family violence. She is especially interested in dynamic and cumulative processes of trauma and resiliency wherein individual, family, community, and societal experiences intersect.
Dr. Sousa is currently researching political violence, health, and resilience among Palestinian women, using original quantitative and qualitative data collected in collaboration with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society.
