Continuing
graduate students in either the School of Social Welfare or the
School of Public Health who are interested in the Dual MSW/MPH
degree can apply to this program after their first year. The Dual
Degree Program offers interdisciplinary preparation in the fields
of public health and social welfare leading to the MSW and MPH
degree in three years. Its objective is to provide the knowledge
and skills necessary to promote health, prevent disease, and enhance
the delivery of health and social services in the community. The
program allows students to build interdisciplinary skills and
professional identity by developing an understanding of the breadth
of each field, the interrelationships of the fields, and focused
content in particular specialty areas. For more information, please
