WHERE TO GET FINGERPRINTS/LIVESCANS TAKEN

Fingerprints are taken on a Livescan as required by the State. Once you have been provisionally accepted into the PPSC Program, Barbara Haden will provide you with a Livescan for PPSC Credential purposes. The State will not accept any other form.

You can take the Livescan to your local police department (location, times, and Police Department fees are listed below). You will be asked to provide your California Drivers License, California Identification Card or passport. Police Departments and other Livescan locations can be booked up to 60 days in advance so call as soon as possible for an appointment time.

In addition there are numerous commercial fingerprinting services; look for them under "Fingerprinting" in your yellow pages. The Department of Motor Vehicles offers fingerprinting at some local offices; call for time availability. Be sure to ask if they process Livescans.
