Carol,
how did you first get interested in research in general and
in social work research?
I spent a lot of time in science classes before I decided
on majoring in social welfare, where research was really emphasized.
It was always exciting to learn the techniques and methods
of scientific research that lead to advancements in fields
like medicine, technology, ecology, and environmental science.
When I made the shift over to social welfare, I wanted to
