The Latino Social Workers Organization (LSWO) is a leader of providing continuing education, focused on social work practice with Latinos. For more than 20 years, the LSWO has been working with social work professionals, social work students and social work faculty to increase networking and continuing education. The LSWO has been consistent in providing quality continuing education through partnerships with schools of social work and social work programs. The 2017 conference is in collaboration with University of California, Berkeley School of Social Welfare. We appreciate the support of Dean Jeffrey Edleson and Professor Kurt Organista for bringing this one-day conference to California.
Since the election, social workers have been contacting the LSWO regarding the need for us to “ network, share, learn and advocate.” Social workers are looking forward to this conference so they can share their experiences about the inauguration of President-Elect Trump.
